RECIPROCAL Phase 3, 7
Challenges Are Out Of Order
You have the power of alternate universe. Phases 3 to 7 in all
challenges happen in reverse order. After the defensive player is
determined, both main players play challenge cards. Then, other
players can ally as desired. The defensive player accepts or rejects
those who've allied with him, then the offensive player. Finally, the
offensive player commits tokens and points the cone. The challenge
continues to phase 8. Cards and powers take place during their
appropriate phase as possible. Also, timing priority is thus:
defensive player, offensive player, right of defensive player counter-
clockwise. If you are a main player, you may have the challenge and/
or timing priority take place under normal rules.
History: A starship's warp engines mysteriously exploded while
traveling through hyperspace. This caused a rift in the space/time
continuum. What was abnormal is now normal and vice-versa. A race of
beings from an alternate reality traveled through the hole created by
the explosion and now seek to bring the universal chaos under their
control.

Wild: If you have no home bases you win the game, despite any power
with alternative win condition.
Phase 7
Super: After phase 7 is completed, you may have the challenge go right
to phase 3.
PULSAR
Phase 7
Con: Timing priority is normal.
Infinity
Pro: While the challenge phases are reversed, you need not play game
effects of the affected phases during their phase. You may play them
at any time during phases 7 to 3.

Cosmic Monopoly
Long version only. Before the offensive player can challenge your
property, he must pay you the normal debt owed first plus the 50%
penalty. This can bankrupt a player. If he wins the challenge the
money is returned to him. A player can choose to pay the normal debt
owed if he's not going to challenge the property.
Commentary: This is a rules power created by me. This power certainly
affects the game in an abnormal way. If you do not like Cosmic
Encounter to get so Cosmic, I recommend you not play with Reciprocal.
Over all, the Reciprocal player does not get a complete direct
advantage. While the particular challenge phases aren't adversely
affected, various powers and cards are due to having to be played in a
particular phase. For example, Plant can only graft in phase 3. If
he grafts a phase 4, 5, 6, or 7 power, he cannot use it because those
phases already happened. On the other hand, Loser gets to call an
upset after Challenge Cards are played. Because new advantages and
disadvantages occur with reversed challenges, Reciprocal can control
the flow as main player for his benefit. If the power is too chaotic
on the game, you could make Reciprocal a main player only power,
deciding to reverse a challenge or not in Phase 2 after the destiny
pile has been flipped.
It has been suggested this power works better as a Moon, if this idea
is to be accepted at all.
The Wild Flare is not just about Schizoid. It's also for players who
have powers with their own win condition, such as Masochist and
Galactica. Note that Galactica does not win the game if dealt the
card at game set-up because his bases in other players' systems are
his home bases. Pod, however, does win. Treat the card just like
Nerd being dealt his Super Flare. Pod officially wins if the Flare is
not zapped. The Flare is discarded. A "new" game is played with the
current set-up. Pod/Ancients allows the player to win infinite
games :-). Actually, Pod wins if he ever gets the card. If he gets
my newly created card. Wild Card, which a player can use as any card
that actually exists, except a Pulsar, and it behaves as such, he can
make it the Reciprocal Flare and win that way too. Depending upon how
long the game was played, you may want the game officially over or
proceed as above. This does not give Clinton the win because the game
was called due to Pod winning, not just wanting to end the game.
Beckett does not win by the card alone because he has no hand while
waiting to leap, thus could never have the card, and once he leaps,
the position he leaps into has home bases. He has to have the card in
his leaped into hand and that position has no home bases.
