chouette opening theory

by pauldepstein@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Mar 28, 2008 at 07:56 PM

It is well-known that if X opens with a 65, O blitzes with 55, and X
dances, then O has a very marginal hold.
Suppose O is a chouette captain and doubles -- a small error. Suppose
that optimal play from this point on is assumed. Should O's team
mates double with the captain? (My opinion is a strong yes: the
equity loss from the bad double is much less than the potential equity
losses from positions where the checker play is dependent on the cube
position.)
