When Omega conquered Avernus I figured out its next target would be 
Edgeley as it was the gateway island towards Vulcan. While travelling 
there a message game telling Edgeley was under attack, proving my
theory right. By the time I got there message game saying Edgeley
being a free island now and I feared Omega would be gone. So I launched
one Manta carrying a Quaker bomb in hope it would find the enemy 
carrier and bomb it. 

To my suprise Omega was still there near the beach and I put my
Manta into a dive. Aiming for a maximum damage I smashed the 
Manta to the hull of the Omega. It responded by sending 
surface-to-surface missiles towards my direction and Epsilon took
some minor damage to hull and various systems. 

With air now filling with missiles and some enemy aircraft I immediately
scrapped the idea of launching another Manta and started firing Omega
with the ****p laser. I was still steaming towards Omega, approaching
from
its stern. It was now trapped between the island and Epsilon. My laser 
started to  overheat when suddenly, Omega exploded into pieces. 

I have a theory Omega was somehow damaged already - propably 
the fight against the island defences was too rough for her. She might 
even have grounded (it was very close to the beach) causing structural
damage to its hull. Then again,  I just might have been lucky. Anyway 
the battle was over sooner than I thought, Omega was at the bottom
of the sea and  I was given choice to end the game there or continue 
playing. I naturally chose latter as I wanted to conquer the enemy 
base  :)

Still trying out various things but so far the best method for me is 
bombing the enemy control bunker with Mantas using Quaker bombs. 
It usually takes 2-3 bombs to do that. When bunker is destroyed I 
send in a Walrus and set up my own base there. I have found the 
surface-to-surface missiles too ineffective because of their short 
range. Sometimes I soften up the island defences with the ****p 
laser but Mantas usually do the trick. 

I also have experimented with the virus bomb, but the Walrus is 
usually destroyed before it gets close enough.

I love some of the names the Islands have. For example Thermopylae
lives up to its name - it is truly the bottleneck island  and is very
hard
to conquer   :)

I am now working my way towards the enemy base. Good luck with 
Omega. Any progress re****t on Interphase?  :)
