But that's my point old buddy - its as if because you are using static
screens, the game has to process much less data and consequently the AI
and enemy ****ps jump to 4 times (?) their normal speed, which ends up in
you getting killed very quickly.
I submit that this is a gameplay issue. :)

I've not had sufficient experience to say for sure, but it seems to me
that losing one drone to make space for the Black Globe Generator, and
hanging on to the rest, for "close encounters" is probably the way to go.

I spoke to Nathan via e-mail and he was hopeful he might join us on this,
but Hidehiko-san has not yet responded to my last e-mail. Hope the old
Samurai is okay.
And speaking of lost legends, where is John Burns, we were in e-mail
contact but I've not heard from him for a year despite a few e-mails in
his direction.

Your saying it would be better if it took longer? I think I'd probably go
along with that. I loved the fact in The Settlers that you got to see your
buildings being built - from the ground-up. It gave you more of a sense of
owner****p as a result. I still haven't got into Foundation yet, but I was
never convinced that the magical wand effect on building construction was
satisfying enough.

Really? I found Carrier Command to be just intuitive, certainly in
comparison to Gravity. The do***entation was first rate and the concepts
in Carrier Command are fairly easy to grasp. You've got an Assault Carrier
with planes and tanks, a supply network, an archiplegos to capture and an
enemy carrier to sink. Let's go! :)
Gravity does not have great do***entation, and no criiticism of hte game
intended but the mouse/icon control system, the GUI, in Carrier Command is
second to none, IMHO. Again, not a criticism of the game, but
understanding the game mechanics and concepts of Gravity is "challenging".
:)

Ah, but if it were you who had stumbled upon the enemy home world, you
wouldn't be broadcasting "FOUND YOU!!!!" on all frquencies until you had
at least gone home to get some friends, would you?
But I understand your point. :)
Has this happened from lots of different games, or based on the Save
point?
I usually get quite a lot of time for "attempting" startegy, at least. My
problem is that after a while, little bugs start cropping up, which either
cause a crash or make the game less and less playable. I think this is
becuase of the "highly unusual" structure of the game's code and the
associated difficulties of creating a WHDLoad slave that can cope with it,
over a long period of play.

I thought you got 8 or nine free missions? But after that, yes, I think
you would need to get your hands dirty and destroy some Outies personally.

I've been pretty much starting from scratch every time. I thought I'd do
that until I understood the game well enough to seriously try and beat it.

As I say, I don't think they exist physically. I think its just a game
device.
What about your favourite Outie ****p?
I've got a bit of a fixation with the Engineer ****ps, thy look a bit like
a soup bowl on a decorative table mat. They are unarmed (good news) but
their job is to convert suns into singularities (bad news).
