I'm having some trouble getting started as well - time constraints (as 
usual) and a bit of a tough interface in this game make it hard to "jump
in" 
and learn it in 5 minutes.  But I am playing it now and reading back on 
these posts to get some hints.

Hopefully I'll have more to post later - right now I need to focus on 
figuring this beastie out.  Looks very promising, but also looks like it 
does require some patience to get to a point where you are able to enjoy
the 
game.
