Amiga 3000 and Gaming

I was trying to play Fire and Ice and Robocod on my Amiga 3000 this
morning, 
and noticed that the graphics are pretty messed up.  My Amiga 3000 has a 
problem with these games using both a TV as a monitor and a VGA monitor 
hooked up to the applicable ****t.

Is there a "fix" for this (such as a utility that I could preload), or 
should I just play these on my Amiga 500?

I debated posting this to the hardware newsgroup, but it seemed that we
have 
some pretty knowledgable people here (and a lot of gamers to boot) so I 
thought I'd ask here first.

This isn't a speed issue - just a graphics issue.  I don't have a hard
drive 
on my Amiga 500 and am hoping to play some games that can be installed to
a 
hard drive on my 3000, but this isn't looking very promising...
