In text adventures you will have most of the time the four directions
N, S, W, E which allows you to change from one room or place to
another.
I'm now thinking about a different game-play: You have to go from one
port to another. Your place of landing depends on different vectors:
the direction you give the ship, the wind and the float (waves) of the
sea. It don't need any graphics. You will just find the rough position
of your ship in a window you can check with a (hardware) card.
May be that a game like this would be of some interests and would have
some potential for new ideas and fun?
