I'm surprised he didn't like Heroes 2 because that really is an 
all-ages game, and is always popular at shows.

I'd recommend the repton games as puzzle type things, although they 
can be pretty tricky.  I remember having Repton3 at about his age and 
really not getting past about 2 or 3 levels, although that might have 
been because I found the editor a lot more fun :)

Our Krisalis Gold CD and the TBA Classics disc might be worth a punt - 
there's a lot of gaming on both of those discs, with a fair mix of 
games, and I'm pretty sure that there will be a few he likes :)
