Hello,
Anyone still interested in the classic RISC OS game Star Fighter 3000
may be interested to know that I have updated my web site (http://
starfighter.acornarcade.com) for the first time in five months.
I have made a couple of bug fixes to the handling of drag and drop in
my sky and polygon colours editor applications SFColours and
SFSkyEdit. The cause for my discovery of these bugs is actually quite
interesting, but I probably shouldn't discuss that here.
The gory details:
Compressed Fednet game data files imported directly from an
application into an editing window (e.g. by dragging the file icon
from a savebox) were not decompressed. This manifested as a misleading
warning message such as 'Fednet data is not a recognised size of
colours file'.
DataSave messages received in reply to a DragClaim message were
ignored if the drag destination was not the last window to be created
(was dependent on the order of event handler registration). This was
mitigated by the fact that an alternative short-cut is used when the
drag destination window is owned by the same application.
Cheers,
