Re: Questions about the UK computer game industry

hi marianne

best bet for piracy is www.elspa.com (or may be .co.uk)

most people buy games at GAME - due to their having over 400 branches -
however now there are so many major retailers taking up games -
including the supermarkets and the recent drive from HMV - independants
make up a large part too but their numbers are dwindling - online
there's play.com and the likes and obviously ebay - the thing about
ebay is that you will never know what affect this has on trade as there
is no way of tracking how many times a game is RE-sold

to get info on the publishers just do a google on them all - such as
EA, konami etc - i've talked to them before they're pretty helpful as
long as they don't have to go to far out of their way
