There's more and more of that, i think.
As for me, I work as a 3D modeller (not in the gaming industry), and as
the next step I'll be using a game engine middleware to incor****ate
some physics into some of the presentations I need to make.
Who knows, maybe with all of the stuff I do IRL, games have lost their
charm... But then again, sim city can hold my attention entire day.
There are several other little quick playing games that i like to play
when i have a few free minutes.
Juat seems that there ought to be more out there. I like games, but
can't find much that I manage to get into.
Heck, I've made up my mind to get PSP, if I could only find a game or
two that I actually like.

yeah. some of the games that I thought would be interesting, turned out
to not be very good. Maybe I'm too picky about quality or sumthin'. I
haven't put my finger on it yet.
I found railroad tycoon a bit too limiting... after trying it out I
ended up modelling a
dept 57 like village in max with railroad and all, researching the real
world of railroad scale models, and making a rendered christmas card
out of it, and losing interest for the game itself.
