How hard is it to get a job in the games industry in europe?

by niclas.ernson@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Feb 7, 2006 at 09:52 AM

I=B4m studying physics and computer engineering at university. How hard
would you think it is to get a rookie-level job in the games industy in
europe? (preferably UK or northern europe)
The work I=B4m interested to get eventually is physics/AI-programmer,
but I=B4d be willing to do any programming etc for the first few years.

Would it be a better idea to start my own game company? Possibly hire
myself by the hour or project and work as independent instead of trying
to get employment.

I have already been in touch with game developers and recruitment
agencies, but they usually only have jobs that require very extensive
resumes which I don=B4t have.
