Some of them. Check to see if there are industry pros teaching there.

Mostly. But regular colleges/unis are perfectly good too. And less
expensive, and closer to home for most folks...

One is as good as the other, I guess. Which one do you live closer to? Can
you afford them? Better question - can you afford to get a regular B.A.
somewhere else, and THEN go to a game school? That'd be better, more
ideal.

No. And no. So you want to be a programmer, that's why you're interested
in
those schools?

Um, yeah. That's nice.

Read my articles #25, 34, and 44 (they go to the heart of your question).
Go
on the IGDA website and read the numerous answers to this exact same
question that's been given (FREQUENTLY) at IGDA Forums>General
Discussions>Breaking Into the Industry. And while you're bookmarking the
IGDA Breaking In forum (and my website), bookmark this too:
http://www.igda.org/breakingin/resource_schools.php
and
http://www.gamasutra.com/education/.
And if you aren't actually sure that programming is the right job for you,
read http://www.igda.org/breakingin/career_paths.htm.
By the way, I write
a
monthly column on the IGDA site - it's at
http://www.igda.org/columns/gamesgame/
(in fact, this month's column ALSO
answers the question you asked). But don't read that until AFTER you've
checked out the FAQs and other links.
