Tip: trim excess lines when responding. As much as I like my .sig
file, I don't need to see it in your response. FMod is free if you're
not interested in making any money; read their site. If you're
programming for Windows & DirectX, then DirectMusic and/or DirectShow
are free (but not open) and re****tedly able to play back MIDI files,
but I've never used them.
Next tip: if you'd provided these considerations in your first
posting, along with things like platform(s) targeted, then people can
give you much better responses from the beginning.
