Question about pay per piece models

by Dan Lingman <dlingman@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 26, 2006 at 05:45 PM

Hi. Got a quick question for the group.

What's a reasonable amount to expect to pay for models? I've been looking
at turbosquid, and am considering offering contract work to the local
students taking digital animation and game development at our college to
get a number of spaceship models done. Would need a variety of hulls,
weapons, engines missles etc, so there would be a fair amount of work
(which means I'd probably spread it around a bit). Not looking for
texturing, just wireframe at the moment.

Being that I'm new at this, I figured I'd ask the group if the prices on
turbosquid are in line for what I should be offering for piecework.

Thanks in advance for any advice (or pointers to places that discuss this
particular topic further)
