That is one of the few NES games that I go back and play, along with FF -
I,
Battletoads and sometimes Contra.
The whole idea originated from wanting to combine Street Fighter style
fighting with a side scrolling game format.
I like good graphics, but it seems like game playability and challenge has
dropped as technology has advanced.
Sound and graphics are going to be tuff, thank god for the new tools that
are available! But, I will not settle for a ****y AI. Too many games
have been ruined by crappy AIs.
Thanks for the luck . . . I'm going to need it!
I'm not convinced that I shouldn't use a 3D engine. But even if I did -
the
combat arena/level area would still be side scrolling.
