Note: This is a peer-to-peer advisement about FREEWARE... nothing
commercial.
Hey, I'm telling you but I expect you to tell others.
At http://BABALA.ORG
is found a remarkable free game, suitable for all
ages.
It's crafty, challenging, sophisticated and captivating; a long climb,
with
fun and surprises. 125 levels presently; 35 harder ones are near ready for
inclusion; 200 total by year's end.
Animated, stupendous; yet you play strictly at your own pace, battling the
Balabak legionnaires who seek to overtake and slay you. Fortunately they
haven't a shooter, but they mindlessly dog you at every turn, hoping to
pounce. Several good screenshots at the site tell the whole story,
www.babala.org. You will not be disappointed, that much is certain. It's
such an easy game to learn that a 7-year old could play. But you need
mental
stamina to ascend high. Babala has a meaningful scoring system, and later
versions will feature Internet high score posting. Already there is a
public
forum at the site, so come on over and see why all the ruckus ;)
Babala is a mere 454kb download (plus you'll need the free GTK+ package).
There's also a Linux version.
It's colorful, it's crafty, it's fun.
There are NO commercial hooks of any kind.
You can't go wrong.
