Anyone know of utility to aid in extracting gfx from unformatted raw binary files?

I'm interested in attempting to extract some graphics from an old DOS 
game from the early 90's. I'm looking for a utility that will display 
the contents of an arbitrary unformatted binary file, on screen as an 
image, with adjustable bit-depth, width, pitch, etc. Does such a 
program currently exist?
