Jackpot currently has the following job openings. Please read full

News Editor/Writer: 2 Positions
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to find, edit, and post
news articles to our site. We are a fairly loose working bunch so our
requirements are few and easy to meet. What we are seeking is a person
who had a desire to be involved in Gaming Journalism. We need an
individual who has the talent for finding news worth stories,
professionalism that meets our standards, and a dedication to gaming.
Job Description:
We are looking for a news writer who will search the web, their local
gaming community and gaming media events for articles we can post to
our site that would interest our readers. The person who takes this
job would be responsible for writing, editing and posting all their
own stories. They would be required to submit stories in a timely
fashion so they can be posted as often as we need. They would be
expected to cite all sources, give proper credit where due, and
responsible for checking their own spelling/grammar.
Job Requirements:
Basic typing skills:
The person needs to know how to write well written thought out
articles that will compliment our site and our content. We do not have
any minimum experience requirement so if you are just starting out
feel free to sign up.
Valid Email address:
The person would need a valid email address where we can reach them to
obtain all necessary information. We will provide an email account to
use while they would be working for our site.
Other than that all we ask is that the person be dedicated to the site
and gaming in general.
The compensation:
I would like to tell you that this is a high paying job that will earn
you great experience for future reference, sadly that would not be
true. Instead I will tell you that this is a volunteer job that comes
with various perks that may or may not be a good reference depending
on the job sought. However I would like to point out that we are a
fast growing site and this is a good opportunity to get into gaming
journalism or just journalism in general. There are some incentives
that we do offer to make it a worth job. Plus you get the satisfaction
of working for a gaming site that is doing something no other site has
tried to do on this scale before.

walkthroughs. We are increasing our content and viewer base daily so
we are in a position to continue to grow and expand our market. Gamerz
