I am unable to join or host any AOC game. Not even in the LAN with one
of my computers.
My setup
The server (the problem)
Win XP Home
AOK TC 1.0c
Fresh install of XP and AOK TC (nothing else)
DirectX 8.1
The client(works fine)
Win2000
AOK TC 1.0c
DirectX 8.1
behind Linksys BEFW11S4 ver 2
I used to be able to play even on the zone with this machine. I even
tried a full reinstall of Win XP (it was due), still dint fix the
problem.
I cant think of what I did that made it stop working, One thing i
remember is upgrading the firmware for the router, but all i am trying
to get working on this PC is to host a LAN game. From the second
machine, I see the host's game and when I try to join, i get the
unable to join game. If i host a game on a 3rd machine, it works fine.
I did disable XP's built-in firewall.
Do anyone have any suggestions on what could possibly be the problem.
