Waypoints, yes, but I wanted map bookmarks, so that if there is a spot on
the map I want to monitor (not necessarily my building or troops) I can
hotkey it to a function key.
It would also have been nice if the re-supply of elite paladins or
whatever
came out of the castle set to group 6, defensive mode, defend that
trebuchet, not have to set each one as it is produced.
Can do that in Total Annihilation, another much earlier RTS.
I agree that AOE is better than C&C and TA, just surprised that some basic
functions (to me) got lost. Can't believe that developers hadn't played
the
definitive classics of RTS.
