Interesting post, but did it ever occur to you the US was merely
fini****ng a war that should have ended 14 years ago? Correct me if I'm
wrong, but I can find no indication that:

1) Iraq surrendered in 1991; or
2) We surrendered in 1991 (that includes the Canadian troops which took
part); or
3) A peace treaty was brokered between Iraq, and Kuwait (and her allies).

Instead, based on my research, all we had was a ceasefire, which is the
military equivalent of a time out. This means the troops the US left in
Kuwait and Saudi Arabia all those years were not there 'to enforce UN
sanctions', but in anticipation of the war starting up again. It is all
well and good you don't like US involvement in Iraq, but why not spend
just a LITTLE of your time hounding George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and
especially the United Nations. Ask them why none of them ever bothered
to negotiate a peace treaty, while they had the chance?
