It was a giant disappointment that XP wouldn't even install SMACX on
my new system. It's really the only game I play any more. Can any
of you big-hearted super-users provide a list of step-by-step instruc-
tions to get around the install problems? I did get SP2 for the
"security", but what a PITA for all the trouble it causes!
The autoinstaller gets to a point around 82% complete, then I get
some "data transfer error" or suchlike, and can't find any trace of
AC init files to hack, or terranx tabs to click. Honestly, I'm not an
ignorant troll, I just don't have the techknowledge to hack all of the
pertinent files.
