Extract Doom Marine Face Sprite?

Hi there,

This is probably not the right place to ask, but I guess it is a good
start.

All of you will i'm sure remember that one of the nicest touches to
the original doom game was the marines "****trait" that appeared on
your HUD - beginning with a maniacal smile, crazy red eyes in god mode
and descending into a bloody mess as more and more aliens pounded on
you.

Well I am feeling artistic and kind of wanted to do a whole monkey to
human progression type evolution picture, but with the doom faces
rather than the monkeys and humans.

Trouble is with a cursory search on google I am struggling to find a
premade collection of the pictures. Does anyone know an easy way to
extract the marine face avatars / sprites from the original WAD files
from Doom II?

Any help you can offer in this regard is massively appreciated. I did
consider Print Screening the different states, but I am not sure how
many different states there are, and print screen is not a guranteed
quality - where as a source picture would be the original...
