Doom 2 Hell On Earth.

Can someone tell me what zdoom.exe is? It plays almost like doom2.exe but
slightly different. I just got Doom 2 again and have been playing it.

It is weird, in zdoom my sounds work fine but when in doom2 I have to use
pc
speaker sound because when in doom2 and using the Sound Blaster option it
lags
and the sound is chopped up for some reason. I have a 2 GHZ 128 MB RAM 40
GB
hard drive so I do not think it is the machine. I played in windows and in
DOS
mode and it does not change the chopped up sound and lagging in doom2
while
zdoom is fine.
