<grumble> At level 76 and trying to rise, I'm going backwards 'cause I
keep getting lagged to death. Even watching for the "treadmill" and
bailing wasn't saving me for the last three... See monsters go walkies,
escape/save/quit, wait a moment, rejoin, there's my corpse on the
ground. AUGH!
