No, it is based on genetics/heredity and develops cultural attributes.
It is determined at birth, not acquired.

Culturally Jewish, perhaps, but certainly not ethnically Jewish. It
will stand out like a sore thumb among ethnic Jews.

There is no Semitic race, as such. Jews, Arabs, (Southern) Italians,
Greeks etc all belong to the Mediterranean branch of the Caucasian
race.
Semites are a sub-grouping and include both Jews and Arabs - they are
closely related genetically, and it is often said that they deserve
each other.
