Evening All,
The SNR has plummeted even further in the months since I was last here.
Hope
all the D2 players are well and enjoying the occasional D2 post.
I decided to build a tri-sorc, ultimately to wear Tal's set (which I still
haven't completed, but that's not a problem for the first 65 levels or
so).
I was wondering if anyone else has built one in 1.11 and what skills you
used. I thought of taking the cookie-cutter Meteorb build and shaving 19
points from Fireball to provide enough in CL and LM to take on the few
FI/CIs she comes across. So something like
Cold:
5 pre-reqs for FO
20 FO
1 CM
Lightning:
2 pre-reqs for CL
20 CL
10 LM
(+1 Tk +1 Tp)
Fire:
4 pre-reqs for Meteor
20 Meteor
10 FM
1 Warmth
That's 95 points, which means clev 84 (the rest would go into Mastery
skills). The main problems I can see with this build are:
1. Very difficult to kill anything much until well after level 18 (but
with
enough twinking and/or friends this doesn't really matter)
2. Without Fireball you rely on Meteor to kill CI/LIs, which is not
impossible but tricky.
Any other comments? Any other ways to assign skill points? The idea is to
be
able to kill any monster with any combination of immunities - otherwise I
could just build a straight Meteorb sorc and ignore dual immunes. All
three
elements need to be strong enough to deal with a dual immune with
enchantment in the 3rd element (e.g. FI/CI/LE etc.). Why? No real reason,
I
just fancied a sorc capable of scorching the earth. One day I'm going to
complete Tal's set, and this will be a fitting build to enjoy it with.
Cheers,
CC
