3D Space combat, S & M both, it's not a simple fps-in-space but
involves
some tactics and strategy, as you have to choose the type of ****p to fly
as
well as which weapons to carry, and you can order your wingmen about.
So it's definitely more complex than regular descent, but quite
rewarding, with gorgeous graphics (once you install OpenFreespace).
Freespace2 was on a 25-best-games-of-all-time list awhile back. Both F1 &
F2 can be downloaded from links on www.hard-light.net forums.
