Generally speaking, ****ting is the process of changing the code in
the target executable so that it can run on another processor which has a
diffferent instruction set (or a different way of doing things), with the
ultimate end of getting the new processor to do (or display) the same
thing.
Not all processors have the same instruction set, and some do things
in a different way, requiring these differences to be taken into account.
