The D2X-XL is great. The version I have allows me to collect Cloaks and
Invulnerabilities and then use them at will. Only on a
per-level/per-life basis though. If I die, or if I don't use them before
exiting, I lose them.
There's still some really great missions getting created out there if
you look. D1 and D2 are the best for me; both were very dark and
menacing. D3, while it is challenging, just didn't have that malevolent
undertone like the first two.
