I have an Nvidia 6600GT video card and WinXP SP2.
I get to the menu screen but when I go to start the game, the screen
flickers in between the windows desktop and a blank screen, as if they
are duking it out to see who wins. Ultimate, the windows desktop
remains with the Descent3 minimized. When I click on that, the
flickering continues and windows desktop usually is the one that
remains.
I have tried new video drivers but no change. I have changed from
OpenGL to D3D and no change.
Anyone else have this problem? This is the retail D3 jewel pack which
I just bought and have updated the program already, including the no
CD patch. Without the no CD, the game will have the same issues just
doing the video clips.
