Running Dark Reign II on Win XP as unpriviledged user

I've just set up DRII on my WinXP system.  It runs fine when run from an
administrator account, but when I run it as a nonpriviledged user it
always
prompts me for the CD key.  I've set the permissions on the entire
\Program
files\Dark Reign 2 directory as world-writable, but I still have this
problem.

Any solutions?
