Damn, just missed you. logged into Ector, pootled around a bit whilst
doing a /who Asela /who Throt. Did a couple of quests. Dinged Wicci to
13 and logged from Ector around 10.25 to log onto Gareth for some
guild RvR fun.

Great. I'm no caster expert but have played a Sorc to level 20 plus,
and I have been killed lots by them so I can give you some good advice
to get you on your way :). Also Wicci my Heretic is level 13 now so we
are in good level range to group.

Best explained in-game, would take a long post here to fully describe.
Remember though that once you select a trade skill it cannot ever be
changed. You can respec your character, respec RA'a (Realm Abilities)
etc. but you can never change your crafting profession so do not chose
one until you are certain.

I thought the UK servers would have a more mature user base.

Good to know, what server are you on in CoH?

Aye I noticed that, so I broke down and bought CoH UK version today
from play.com. I had hoped the combined box would be earlier than next
year. Not too bad though as NCSoft have made the shrewd decision to
let you play both for the one sub as you say. I ordered CoV too.

Aye, that's what I do.
DAoC is my main, and has been since I quit EQ for it four years ago.
I've taken breaks and tried other MMORPGs but always come back to
DAoC. I also like to keep a MMORPG light for times when I'm RvR
frazzled out, or guild politics are getting a bit silly ;).
CoH and WoW are both good fun games for some light relief.

Good decision IMHO.
A wonderful concept that game, and it has some wonderful things in it
just that SOE screwed it right up much like they do with all their
games. It boggles me how they can take a game with the draw that Star
Wars had and bork it up. It boggles me more how they had a big
Hollywood movie budget for EQ2 and a ready fan base from EQ and borked
that right up as well.
I really can't see me playing any SOE game again as this is one
company that simply cannot seen to learn from its mistakes. They are
the greediest hogs in the MMORPG market as well, paying for every
small content patch in EQ2.....Adventure packs my arse.
/rant off
