As I recall, you are on Ector.

As a Sorcerer, you should be doing a good bit of your fighting through a
charmed pet. Depending upon the spell line(s) you have trained in. I
have never played a Sorcerer, so I cannot give any specific advice, but
I can say, as a Minstrel, using a pet (I too get a charm ability,
through a song), is often the ONLY way to get through some
battles/locations. It is also much safer to be able to sic the pet on a
beast that is attacking you and then run away, eventually, the pet will
get it off of you and you can get away.

As for the population? While I have not gotten up to the point where I
can participate in the Realm War in the Frontiers, I can say, that in
every one of the Battlegrounds I have visited, every visit has had a
different realm owning the central keep. That implies at least a little
bit of activity at my levels, and one can infer from that that it
continues at the upper levels. If you type /realm, it will show you a
map of the Frontier keeps and if there are battles at any of them (there
will be flames on the keep or one of its towers). You can also type
/relic to see who owns whose relics. I mention the relics, because,
while Albion has not held them very often or for very long, I have seen
them change hands fairly regularly, which indicates a fairly active RvR
situation on Ector.

Just in case you are unaware as of yet, each realm owns two relics, one
magic based and one melee based. In Albion they are Merlin's Staff and
the Scabbard of Excalibur. Part of the point of the realm wars is to
take the enemies relics and return them to your keep. When you own
another realm's relic you get a bonus to the damage type of the relic.
So, if Midgard owns the Scabbard of Excalibur then they would get a 10%
(It used to be 10, please correct me if there have been adjustments in
the last year) boost to their melee damage. I do no recall that there
are any negative effects to NOT having the relics, but again, that may
have been adjusted.

As always, I do hope that helps.
