It's because MMORPGs evolved from textual MUDs. The first generation
MMORPGs like DAoC and EQ were based on MUDs. You don't really have to
type too much in DAoC though, as you can usually click on the
highlighted word(s).

Mmm. The link I quoted was direct from Mythic I think. Still FP
should, and usally do, state if you have to cancel before the trial is
up.

If you are in any doubts email Mythic's su****t. I usually get
responses from them within 48 hours.

I'm usually on late evenings too.

Personally I think MMORPGs are great value for money considering then
entertainment you get from them and comparing the price to other
leisure activites, cinema tickets etc.

You can change the keyboard to suit also by using the keyboard button
on the command panel. Best leave it whilst you are learning the game
though.
