How are they clustering? There are only two English language servers.
I have level 50's on both English euro severs, I'm British, but I
returned to play on the US servers because of the classic ruleset. I
already had a US account from when DAoC first released because there
was a long delay before it released in Europe.
The new classic servers are packed on the US servers. Practically
nodoby plays the older servers apart from the RP ones. It's fantastic.
It's just like when DAoC started. It brings a lot of the old 'magic'
back.

Hating ToA was based, not on the added PvE content, but on the master
levels/artifacts. This made the powergamers, and their guildsmates and
buddies, even more uber and left the ordinary and casual players
struggling. Smaller and family type guilds especially suffered. It led
to the situation that a low skill player helped to the right
ML/artifacts could kill the most skilled players on the server. It
probably wouldn't bother you if you didn't have a level 50 raiding
character or didn't do a lot of big boy RvR.
Suffice it to say that m***** of folks left DAoC because of ToA and
even Mythic has admitted it was a big mistake. The new classic servers
and Catacombs redress this and it looks like it has been sucessful as
Lamorak and Gareth are full most nights and Ector is getting that way.
People are flooding back from WoW and EQ2 etc. I can see Mythic having
to open further classic ruleset servers to meet the demand.

That's because of the /level command. On the classic ruleset servers
folks do BG's from level 5 all the way up because it's fun, the XP
gained is great and you start to get rp's at level 15.
