Re: Hi all, New to DAoC

Played WoW for a few weeks, even got the missus to try it too. Now it is
very well done, and easy to get into (and I loved WC3, so much so I had to
delete off my PC as it was taking over my life).
However, we are both back to DAoC and enjoying it.
WoW is quest based - we really are not keen on quests. The graphics are
excellent, but the garish cartoon style get to me afterwhile and DAoC is
like a cool beer on a summer day after WoW. It might be I didn't get far
enough into the game, but chat? Forget it, I have grouped with people for
hours and barely said two sentences (I did find the game does have a lot
of
young players who can't type which could explain it).
WoW is easy, few cl*****, nothing to really challenge the player and if
you
die, no penalty really. Again, I haven't hit the high levels, in fairness.
Bottom line, great product, but I might as well be playing an easy single
player game IMHO.
