More im****tantly, cards of that era had _manual_ IRQ jumpers, so the
only reason for having the card on an IRQ conflicting with the printer
is USER ERROR.

My first soundcard was an SB clone made by Zoltrix and I had it on IRQ7
- and the printer I added later was quite happy to sit on IRQ 5.

It's only with the plug and play crap that the sound pretty much had to
be on IRQ5 due to bad printer drivers that wouldn't use anything but
IRQ7.
