I wanted to share a roll (turn ) that happened in the last game we played.
I hadn't even gotten on the board, and no on had moved for many turns,
Things were beginning to look pretty bleak. I
was at the point where I would have taken a 35 roll to get on the board,
but I couldn't even get that. My friend, Dave,
was about to give up, and then, BAM, I rolled this:
6 6 6 * 6
We agreed that the sun worked, and, since people around here play so that
you have to clear a freight train, I rolled
again:
2 2 3 3 6
and, of course, the 6 saved me, so I rolled again:
5 5 * 5 5
We were flabbergasted. I still had to keep going, though, but at that
point, since we were playing to 600, and there
were two freight trains on the line, we called the first on 600 instead of
game, to make a rolling total of 1100. And
then:
2 10 10 10 4
for 1200, and I have 2 dice left. I may not have wanted to but I must
throw:
5 3
For 1205. I've talked to everyone I know who plays, and the highest
anyone recalls is something in the 6-700 range.
Has anyone ever seen anything that high? What's the highest you've seen?
I'd love to hear.
