I've come up with a pretty easy and fun technique that is different
from the stealth technique that is discussed in online walkthroughs. I
thought others might like to try it.
1. have both the sniper and sapper crawl left toward the end of the
short wall. Have the sniper crawl just inside near the water tanker.
Shoot the mechanic working on the tanker. This will attract others to
run over or step out. Let them get close enough that they are somewhat
hidden by the tank from the gate guards, who will raise the alarm if
they notice the carnage too quickly. This phase ends when the officer
notices the dead bodies and runs around the corner. Kill him, and then
crawl out into the middle of the road to your right, about parallel
with where you've been firing. Have the sapper go to the box in the
yard and get the stuff inside.
2. Now use the sniper to shoot the guard who crosses the road that the
first sidecar is on; followed by the two gate guards and the several
others who will rush over to see what is happening; followed by the
officer standing near the building across the road to your left;
followed by the guard who will eventually see the dead officer and walk
into the crosshairs. At this point the only germans still alive on
that side of the map are the sidecar, the single guard by the gate on
the far left, the sniper, and the troops standing in formation. They
will shortly meet with their fates.
3. Crawl the sniper over as far to the left as you can go, around the
back of the building, to get the grenades from the box and the end of
the building across the road. At the same time, get your sapper's
pistol on autofire, and have him peek through the door at the bottom of
the tower. When the guard goes behind the bar and looks away from the
door, left click and step through, shooting him 3 times. Get
everything from the box. Work your way to the top, killing the other
two guards, and get everything from the box on the top floor. Go back
down to the bottom to wait for the sniper.
4. The sniper, meanwhile, should pick off the enemy sniper. Resist
the urge to kill the sentry as well, which will set off the alarm and
send out the sidecar. Now crawl right behind the sidecar, climb the
ladder, get the sniper bullets, and move the body out of sight. climb
and crawl back the same way as you came, and go to the door of the
tower where you'll get the sniper bullets from the sapper. Take the
sapper all the way to the top of the tower, lie him down and crawl as
close as possible to the leftmost sidecar. From this position in the
tower, you can drop molotovs on both sidecars -- but not yet.
5. Crawl the sniper toward the field and the cow. At some point
you'll find that the sentry in the middle of the field is within your
field of view. Shoot him and the others who run out to help him. Now
finish off all the others around the building at the end of the field,
starting with the officer on the stoop, including those that run over
to help out. Now crawl to the house, and look through the door (while
you're going, select the pistol as your weapon.) When the sentry walks
by, step through the door and pump 3 rounds into him. Go up the
stairs, and when the time is right, kill the officer on the second
level. go out the door in the room so you are on the small porch,
lying down.
6. This is the fun part. Have your sapper quickly drop molotovs on
both sidecars (double check that he is in the right position. It's
hard to get the leftmost sidecar unless you're way in the corner of the
tower. IMMEDIATELY after those two cars blow, have the sniper throw a
grenade on the last one, destroying it.
7. Both locations will instantly become hives of activity, but
concentrate on the ones near the sapper. Wait for large groups to
congregate and drop either grenades or molotovs. If you use good
judgement you can kill off the bulk of the remaining troops right here.
At times as many as 10 enemies will all stand in exactly the same spot
-- a molotov makes them all flare up and scatter in all directions.
Make sure to toss a molotov on the sniper facing the courtyard -- it's
an easy way to finish off one of the few who can make trouble at this
point. Go back inside when there aren't any more enemies within reach
and wait. Then go back to the sniper -- his last two grenades can
polish off everyone on that side of the board except the sniper and the
two guards on the bridge.
8. This part can be a bit tricky. You have to sneak up on the sniper
on the walkway, and either kill him with the pistol or just punch him
and tie him up. This can be tricky and it might be worthwile to do a
quick save.
9. When you've taken out the sniper, scan the whole board for
remaining living enemy units. If you've done it right, you should have
the two on the bridge and a few others in the courtyard standing near
the left gate. At this point you just need to position the sniper to
pick off all the remaining enemies and you're home free.
