dwwin.exe - Stops Red Alert - XP Home

by "Martin Strand" <marstr2(RemoveThis)@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 2, 2004 at 06:27 PM

Hi group!

(Crossposted to Red Alert and Windows groups)

I have borrowed Red Alert (V. 1.08PE, with the updates RA108USP and
CCGOLDXPATCH) from a friend, and throughout the last weeks, and I've had
no
big problems. Until now. (OK, I had to google a little to find a soulution
for the kernel32.dll problem, but forget that!)

The problem comes everytime I play skirmish with self-made maps, while the
standard maps works fine. It came a couple of times through the whole
Allied
campaign as well. It makes the game stop responding, so that I have to end
its process.

The messagebox gave me this information:

---------------------------
dwwin.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The exception Breakpoint
A breakpoint has been reached. (0x80000003) occurred in the application at
location 0x77f75a58.
---------------------------

My Windows version is XP Home Ed. SP1, with all important updates.

I have tried changing the compatibility settings (Set to Win95, with all
checkboxes checked) and searching Google for Web and Newsgroups, but I
didn't get anything from that. The problem does not come with the DOS
version.

I hope you're able to help, so that the fun can continue! If you need more
information or something, just ask!

I didn't intend to do a thing today
and so far I'm right on schedule!
