Sometimes I think they're just out to put on a show
of some kind in order to entertain us mere mortals.
I finished the game I was raving about around a week
ago. Ended up with a conquest victory. Started
another one last friday with more civs. This one
is proving to be more challenging in terms of the
tech race. Alexander isn't helping any. He razed
three of my cities, one of which had the only
source of fish, and another of which had the only
source of fur. Then the cossacks stopped him
cold. Gosh, it's a looooong way from there to
his capitol though.
No barbarians this game, just to see how that
would play out. It was nice being able to
send out unescorted settlers before Alexander
spoiled it all. Now I must destroy him! This
won't be easy, given the distance involved.
