Thanks for the reply Tzar. I have a habit of defragmenting and running a
full
scandisk once a week. I use 4 different spyware programs (Spysweeper,
Spybot,
Ad-Aware Pro, & McAfee) and three different AV programs (McAfee, Panda, &
AV), all of which I run every 4 days to a week.
The hardware is completely compatable (as it was recommended specifically
by
Compaq) and works fine. My RAM is detected by the PC (and BIOS) and
checks
out ok when tested with a program that runs via bootable floppy (tested
for
18 hours). It's just that when I click "Play" or use the shortcut, I get
the
splash screen and then nothing. The game will not load.
All of my other games work fine. Even my other Safe Disk 2 copy-protected
games install and work flawlessly. I'm still at a loss here :(
