I have installed Civ II on several XP machines.  I then installed
the last patch (I forget its number, 2.42 perhaps?).  It ran fine
as is.  One machine is SP2, the other is not.

No stack fault or anything.

I suspect that something was either lost or added in ME or in
the move.  I'd do a clean install from a disk.
