to Live-Action Free-Form RPG at its best. With two years in the
making
and having ran continuously for almost five years, the Order of the Black
Robes
is one of the most fun and stable RP realms currently available on any IRC
(Internet Relay Chat) server. It is COMPLETELY FREE and ANYONE is welcome
to
join that is interested in Role Playing (RP). We are available to &
completely
compatable with ALL operating systems including WebTV/MSNTV.
We are a "live-action" & "free-form" RPG. Live-action meaning that we are
not
an email or BBS group. We are Internet Relay Chat (IRC) based and gather
on the
SorceryNet IRC server - and free-form meaning that there are no scripts or
strenuous rules to follow during gameplay (as with AD&D and the like). You
create every aspect of your character: race, sex, physical description,
weapons, armor, etc. and a rank that your character will hold within
his/her
clan. Then you, in a sense, become that character, doing whatever,
whenever you
wish. Your character lives and interacts with hundreds of others on a
day-to-day basis and the only rules to follow are those that ensure that
everyone stays IC (In Character).
Our realm is based upon a horror/gothic/fantasy setting located within a
medieval time frame. IRC-Based RPG is similar to RPG board games but is
live-action, does not require dice, and is played out in any way your
character
sees fit.
Our realm, the Empire of Darkness, is divided up into countless "clans",
each
with their own home page, members, ranks and chat rooms. The primary
reason our
RPG realm tend to be more fun and stable, is the fact that every clan
follows a
common set of rules that ensure that there is absolutely no "OOC" (Out of
Character) use within the game. The Order of the Black Robes are just one
of
the many clans that interact with each other on a daily basis.
The Order of the Black Robes recruit any serious RPers with an interest in
having fun and those new to the game that are serious about learning. Many
of
the higher ranks are still available to those that qualify. For the
beginners,
we have many ranks available as well. Our detailed web site makes learning
easy. All that is required is a character, a strong imagination, and the
will
to have fun.
In order to begin, a person simply:
1:) Reviews the Game Rules
2:) Create a desired character using our Character Registration Form.
3:) And then submits it to Br_Dalamar_Br@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
for approval.
Players may choose from many races, classes, alignments, ranks, abilities,
weapons, history, and picture. Each character will then receive his/her
own web
page dedicated to his/her character that contains all of this information.
We welcome EVERYONE who wishes to join us. Those that are new to
Live-Action
IRC RPG, all efforts will be made to help you learn. Our web site has
