civilization on windows 2000

I am unable to play the videos or music from the CD when I play civ2 with
windows 2000.

I get the following error:

"CIV2 caused a Stack Fault in Module IR41.dll at 0005:0014. Choose close.
CIV2 will close"

Anyone has any ideas to avoid this?
