Have you tried using dx8.1 instead of dx9? What about right-click on
the BZII icon, select compatibility tab try W95, reboot, run BZII,
same for W98? My BZII with BZII v1.2 patch runs fine in native XP
mode with windows update. I have a GeForce 2 with nVidia 45 or 52
drivers, dx8.1. You could also try turning off any overclocking or
tweaking.
