Dog, I've been playing the BF games since 1942 first came out, I ran, and
enjoyed running my 1942, then desert combat server locally (I could host a
32 player game with no lag). Unfortunatly with BF2 and 2142, you cant run
a
ranked server unless you go thru an AUTHORIZED server farm. So what you
have
on alot of the ranked servers is alot of "pro" players that either have no
social life, or too much extra time, and they play play play!!!! If you're
like me, you have a job, a family, and a few friends. My time playing my
games is golden, and limited. Ok I'm babbling, the bottom line is, when I
play, if I go on a server and I'm basically a target for clan practice,
after a few minutes of getting slaughtered repeatedly, I just leave. Lots
of
clans practice ALOT!! I know clans that practice 2 or more hours A DAY!!!!
They use teamspeak or other VOIP software and communicate without you even
knowing it. They use spotters, or, gasp, their commander actually DOES his
job and warns his soldiers etc etc etc.....
Bottom line, you dont suck, you're just an average joe like most of us.
Sometimes I have to go to 2,3, or 4 different servers before I can
actually
play, and play to my ability instead of just being a frag target. I'm not
the best, but I dont suck either..... And it IS VERY frustrating when what
you said happens!!! The one shot kills, weather you're a soldier or in a
vehicle is frustrating, especially when it takes you 2 or more, sometimes
ALOT more to destroy a vehicle, but BANG, one shot and you're dead...
exploits? Perhaps, but I tend to think its just "pro" players taking
advantage of us average joe's. Dont give up bud, just be patient, and do
alot of server skipping to find one you can actually play to your ability.
The 1 thing I miss about 1942 is, it showed the users and scores, that
came
in handy cause you know if you saw players with really high scores, it was
a
slaughterfest.... I used to look for servers with "average" scores
<defanitly under 100> Well, I guess I wrote enough lmao. Happy fraggin
