after reading your post, I decided to exercise my 2Mb connection and
download EOD (nearly 1GB altogether)
installation went smoothly, and I thought "it will likely be more of
the same - leave difficulty settings around 75%"
Bl**dy HELLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you sure EOD does not stand for End
Of Days?
So - now I've got EVERYTHING wound down to "Easy" and can just about
get through a single-player level without losing heavily (Except
"Charlie dont surf" where I get mortar-bombed every darn time)
So - question being - "Is it me?" - or are the VC a LOT more
aggressive than enemies on Vanilla, Road to Rome, Secret Weapons and
DC/DCF?
They certainly lend a lot of spice to "regular" maps like Operation
Battleaxe, Bocage, Berlin, Kharkov, Kursk, etc.
I am very impressed - thanks for the suggestion!
Are the others - XWW2 and Forgotten Hope - as good as this?
